Petterweil bee meadow

Information - small photo competition about the
'Petterweil Bee Meadow'

Win a jar of honey

We are pleased that you are sending photos of our bee meadow. On our bee meadow you will find signs that you can win a jar of honey every quarter. It's about the diversity of the moments. The jar of honey will be raffled among all entries in the quarter. (We will notify the winners personally. The decision is final)

For your information: The flower mix is 'Blooming landscape' (www.Bluehende-Landschaft.de). The seed producer is Rieger-Hofmann (Here the link).

Here you can see various submissions that can be published here with the permission of the photographers. If you do not want publication, this is accepted. This is independent of the honey draw.

It is beautiful with which different perspectives the Petterweiler bee meadow is seen. You can also see the meadow in changing seasons.
The copyright of the pictures lies with the photographers.
There are no limits to artistic freedom or the simple documentation of the moment.

The pictures are shown here for scrolling as well at the very end as a gallery to click through.

December 31, 2019: Dana Zimmer-Sluyter
The end of the year came on New Year's Eve 2019. Dana Zimmer-Sluyter sent this beautiful and mystical motif. The bee meadow 'lives' even in winter. Not only visually, it is also the winter quarters of many insects and a hiding place for wild animals. It is only mulched in early spring.

July 22, 2019: Pia with Annabelle

From Pia with Annabelle we received the following message on July 22nd: 'My name is Pia and I am sending you a photo of your flower meadow, myself and our pony Annabelle. I love to eat "honey" on my breakfast bread in the morning. Greetings and thanks for the great field of flowers, Pia. ' That is very nice. The photo shows how high the meadow is in summer.

1.7.2019: Andreas Eichler

Andreas Eichler wrote to us on July 1st, 2019: 'We often pass the bee meadow on our walks, running or cycling and always enjoy the variety of plants'. He also photographed that the insects also enjoy it.

May 26, 2019: Dajana Gräfe

On May 26, 2019, Dajana Gräfe took this beautiful picture of the bee meadow with our bee colonies in the background during their bike tour.
Here's a note: The bee meadow is located directly on the northern tip of the Regional park circular route approx. at km 80 (Here is the link to the Regionalpark Rundroute) and just a little detour from the Niddaroute at approx. 58 km (Here is the link to the Nidda route)

24. May 2019: Carolin Hammer

Carolin Hammer writes us again: "I went for a walk again today and I have to say the bee meadow has grown twice as high as last time! Really beautiful" We are pleased that the meadow is so well received

10. May 2019: Carolin Hammer

Caroline Hammer walked along the bee meadow with her daughter on May 10, 2019 and sent us this picture

February 2019: Julia Winkler

Julia Winkler's perspective on a sunny day in February 2019
(Note: It is also very nice to see how the insects and birds use the sunflowers as a source of food over the winter. Our bee meadow is only mulched in early spring, so it also has a function for nature over the winter)

January 2019: Gregor Meinecke

The visual play with sunlight inspired Gregor Meinecke in January 2019. Transience can be so beautiful.

November 2018: Rosemaire Hermanowski

Rosemaire Hermanowski captured what is still blooming in November 2018:

October 22, 2018: Elke Arnold

Elke Arnold discovered the sign with the hint while walking and sent her view of the autumnal bee meadow. After the extreme summer, the plants hang their heads pretty well.

22. October 2018: J. Tariq

J Tariq captured the beauty of impermanence at the end of October 2018 and appropriately titled the pictures "Time Runs Away".

October 21, 2018: Claudia Feigl

Claudia Feigl discovered individual flowers that were still to be admired in full beauty on October 21, 2018. She wrote: "A few flowers are still blooming and were a nice motif for me in the late afternoon"

October 4, 2018: TF family

The bee meadow has its own charm in early October 2018. The TF family took a photo of the 'meadow of the hanging heads' after an extreme summer.

July 2018: Vincent Giese

Vincent Giese went on a bike tour with his parents in July 2018 and also discovered bees in the bee meadow.
