In the sign of the rainbow

In the light of a rainbow

There has been the first wet signs from above for a long time!

Oh dear (so please, April weather is allowed so shortly before the end of the month :-))…. or (and above all) finally (for the plants and all those who have sown seeds for lawns and now do not have to water them for the coming days)
In any case, without water, no flowers ... .. and without rain, no rainbow.

The rainbow became the sign of hope for the Corona crisis through the window pictures.

The family of my son's girlfriend made a baking competition last Sunday: everyone stayed at home and then shared and 'rated' the results online. And the two of them (son and girlfriend) thought of their contribution ... we do something that fits the time. This is how the cupcake / muffin rainbow was created with flowers.

I think that's a great idea to imitate, because afterwards they were able to surprise a few friends, some of whom are at home with children or even in quarantine, with a delicious part of the rainbow.

During preparation you can use it as a wonderful occasion to talk to your children (whether small or large children) about the rainbow pictures and corona, or water, flowers and rainbows.
Enjoy at least a few pictures (it's also lower in calories :-)). The photographer had to test the remaining few to confirm that it is not just decoration for the photos :-))

And of course, after such an event, you can also find recipes with honey or liqueur muffins (I can well imagine this with honey liqueur :-). e.g. our liqueur: see 'products' on our website, We will try it out soon.

And what does that have to do with bees?
Bees love flowers and bees also need water. That is why we always see that there are small water troughs near the beehives.
They don't just need water to quench their own thirst or feed their brood. Most of the nectar consists of water, but that's not enough. They also use water to cool the beehive on hot days. If it gets too hot there, the bees regulate the climate by distributing water on the honeycomb, especially in the brood box, and providing air through wing movements. The temperature in the beehive is reduced by the evaporation of the water and provides the bees with the necessary cooling.

For information about what can be seen in the pictures:

Orange - banana nut muffin with orange colored cocos flakes
Yellow - lemon cupcake with lemon butter icing

(yes I have permission to publish this artwork)

Another thought: You could try to make a complete CupCake / Muffin meal. It doesn't always have to be sweet and high in calories. Muffin works savory too. E.g. as a 5-course menu. Let's see what happens.

Definitely have a lot of fun discovering a rainbow over the next few days, whenever the sun flashes through the clouds briefly.

Thanks to Breiz and Robert for the inspiration
